Crystal Palace host London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur at Selhurst Park in a huge Premier League clash.
Victory will lift Palace out of the relegation zone into 17th position, whilst Tottenham can go fifth with a win if Chelsea fail to beat Newcastle.
Team News
Matt Turner is available for Palace after he was ineligible for their defeat at his parent club, Nottingham Forest.
Cheick Doucoure (toe), Chadi Riad (knee), Chris Richards (hamstring), Matheus Franca (adductor) and Rob Holding (personal) remain sidelined.
Tottenham could welcome forward, Son Heung-min back if he passes a late fitness test, having been rested in their Europa League win over AZ Alkmaar on Thursday evening.
Lucas Bergvall (cramp) is a small doubt but Djed Spence (groin) remains sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Palace host Tottenham at Selhurst Park on Sunday 27 October at 2pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Palace are winless in their last five meetings against Tottenham (L5).
- Tottenham have lost one of their last five visits to Palace (W2, D2, L1).
- Spurs’ Son has scored in four of his last five appearances against Palace.
- Four of Palace’s five league defeats this season have been by one-goal margins.
- Brennan Johnson has scored in Tottenham’s last two away games in the top-flight (W1, L1).
Prediction
Still without a league win this season following a narrow loss at Forest where they just didn’t take their chances, Palace need to just continue their recent improvements but they must defend well if want a result here
Spurs meanwhile will be fresh following mass rotation in their clinical Europa League win over AZ Alkmaar, so I am expecting a strong pressing performance which saw they breeze past West Ham last weekend.
As easy as it is to say that Spurs will win this, Palace’s tide needs to start turning and if they defend well but are clinical, they might just get a point here.
Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Result: Crystal Palace 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur
