Guide to everything that you need to know ahead of 2024-25 Premier League season.

With the new season now within sight, four-time reigning champions – Manchester City begin the campaign as title favourites but Arsenal will look to again run the Cityzens to the wire.

Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton meanwhile make their top-flight returns after gaining promotion at the end of last season.

Now here is a guide to everything that you need to know about 2024-25 Premier League season.

 

When will 2024-25 Premier League Season Start and Finish?

The season will start on Friday 16 August 2024 and conclude on Sunday 25 May 2025.

 

How Many Teams will be Involved?

The following 20 teams will participate in the Premier League this season.

How does Premier League Work?

All 20 teams will play each other home and away across 38 matches, with the team collecting the most points (win – three points, draw – one point, loss – zero points crowned champions at end of season.

The champions plus those ranked second to fourth will qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League, whilst the fifth-placed team will qualify for the UEFA Europa League.

Sixth and seventh-placed teams could also qualify for European competitions next season, but only if both cup competitions are won by teams who finish in the top five in the league table.

The three teams who finish bottom of the league table will be relegated to the Championship for next season.

 

How to Watch Premier League in 2024-25 Season

Selected fixtures will be broadcast across TNT Sport and Sky Sports in the UK in individual slots throughout the season.

Amazon Prime will stream every fixture across the first midweek round of 3-5 December, plus every fixture within the Boxing Day round in the final season of the current UK broadcasting deal.
