West Bromwich Albion have signed forward, Lewis Dobbin, plus left-back Gianluca Frabotta.

Dobbin has joined the Baggies on a season-long loan from Midlands rivals, Aston Villa, having only made the move to Unai Emery Villains from Everton this summer.

In his first interview to wba.co.uk, Dobbin said that getting maximum possible game time is his main target, but is wary of how difficult the Championship can be as he vowed to deliver goals.

“I’m really happy to be here. It’s the perfect opportunity to get first-team minutes and show what I can do.

“I’ve heard a lot about the Championship and I know it’s a tough, competitive league. I’m ready for it, though. I really want to show what I’m about.

“I like to excite the fans and get them out of their seats. I love to score goals and create goals, so hopefully I can do lots of that here this season.”

West Brom manager, Carlos Corberan added that Dobbin “is a young, talented player…” who adds versatility on the wing.

Frabotta meanwhile joined from Juventus on a three-year contract until June 2027 for an undisclosed fee, having previously been loaned out to Hellas Verona, Lecce and Frosinone during his time at Juventus.

The 25 year-old left-back described the Baggies as “an attractive option” to fulfil his “dream” to play English football, but is eager to bounce back after a difficult spell at Juventus.

“I’ve had a difficult few years because I have had to go out on loan a few times. I want to be part of a long-term project and I am very motivated for this.”

Corberan is “delighted” to bring Frabotta into the squad to fill their left-back position, with the Italian displaying “a great attitude.”
