Bromley have announced a ground share deal with London City Lionesses at Hayes Lane.

Bromley have played at Hayes Lane since 1938 with men and women’s first team fixtures played at the venue, and previously ground-shared with Crystal Palace Women between 2014-2023.

The Ravens now will host new tenants in FA Women’s Championship team, London City Lionesses, who had previously played their home fixtures away from the UK capital, instead using Princes Park, Dartford, as their home ground for the last five seasons.

Lionesses owner, Michele Kang therefore is “delighted” to finally secure a London-based stadium in Hayes Lane, which he believes “will give London City a rightful home in London, in the London Borough of Bromley.”

Kang also iterated that he is “committed to providing the best playing and training environments for London City,” as evidenced by a bold signing in Sweden international, Kosovare Asllani from AC Milan.

Lionesses’ Director of Operations, Natalie Curtis added that Bromley’s new “hybrid-stitched pitch matches our aspirations to create the best environment for our players to showcase their talents and hopefully excite our fans with their performances on the pitch.”

Curtis also vowed to maximise their use of Bromley’s facilities to allow London City Lionesses’ fans to provide an improved matchday experience, with Broomfields Bar viewed as “an exceptional venue,” which will allow the club to hold events and engage more with fans.

Bromley FC CEO, Mark Hammond believes that this ground share is “an amazing opportunity to help support and enhance women’s football, and bring the Barclays Women’s Championship to Hayes Lane.”

Hammond also explained that this arrangement will also benefit Bromley Women as he continued: “It will also help drive our own women’s football ambitions and further underpins the Club’s strategy for financial growth, as we enter a new chapter of our development on and off the field.”
