BBC and ITV have confirmed the Quarter-Final broadcast picks in 2023-24 FA Cup.
ITV held first pick for the Quarter-Finals and selected Manchester United’s blockbuster tie against this season’s Carabao Cup champions, Liverpool, at Old Trafford.
That game will be broadcast on ITV1 in the UK from 3:30pm GMT on Sunday 17 March, due to Greater Manchester Police clamping down on kick-off times for marquee fixtures, which is already evidenced by their league meeting on Sunday 7 April having been scheduled for that timeslot.
ITV will also broadcast Coventry City’s trip to Midlands rivals, Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Saturday 16 March, with kick-off at 12:15pm also on ITV1 ahead of the broadcaster’s Six Nations double-header that evening.
BBC meanwhile had second and third picks and chose Newcastle’s trip to defending champions, Manchester City as their main tie, which will be played at 5:30pm on 16 March live on BBC One at the Etihad Stadium.
BBC will also have live coverage of Championship leaders, Leicester City’s trip to Chelsea at 12:45pm on Sunday 17 March, with the fixture airing on BBC1 albeit up against Man City’s Women’s Super League trip to Brighton across on BBC2 that same lunchtime.
