Relegation-battling Luton Town host Brighton & Hove Albion at Kenilworth Road.
Victory would see Luton climb out of the relegation zone if Everton lose elsewhere, whilst Brighton can go sixth with a win.
Team News
Jordan Clark is available for Luton after he was suspended for their FA Cup win at Everton.
Cauley Woodrow is fit for selection despite having broken his hand at Goodison Park.
Mads Andersen (calf), Marvelous Nakamba, Jacob Brown (knee), Issa Kabore (international duty) and Tom Lockyer (illness) remain absent.
Brighton have no fresh injury concerns to report following their FA Cup Fourth Round win at Sheffield United, although manager – Roberto De Zerbi could rotate his squad with Lewis Dunk and Danny Welbeck amongst those looking to return to the starting line-up.
Ansu Fati (muscle), Simon Adingra, Kaoru Mitoma (both international duty), Joel Veltman, Solly March and Julio Enciso (all knee) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Luton host Brighton at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday 30 January in a 7:45pm GMT kick-off at Kenilworth Road, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Luton lost their only previous Premier League meeting against Brighton by a 4-1 result away at the AMEX Stadium.
- Brighton are playing away to Luton in the Premier League for the first time, but have won just three of their 31 previous visits in all competitions (W3, D9, L19).
- Luton have kept clean sheets in three of their last five home games against Brighton in all competitions.
- Elijah Adebayo has scored in three of his last four league appearances at home for Luton (W1, L3), except for a 1-0 home win over Newcastle in December 2023.
- Brighton have kept just one clean sheet in their last 12 league matches on the road (W3, D3, L6).
Prediction
With seven points from their last four league games and now sat one point below the safety line, Luton seem to be finding momentum especially after a morale-boosting FA Cup win at Everton – where they were simply clinical and resiliently organised to snatch the result.
Brighton meanwhile have been at least consistent in all competitions with three draws and wins apiece in the following pattern: DWDWDW, so you would fancy a draw but the Seagulls do have defensive vulnerabilities as Sheffield Utd exposed at the weekend.
Kenilworth Road though has been a hoodoo ground for Brighton in the past but if they can play with the same intensity and quality as they did at Bramall Lane, I can see them having too much for Luton who nevertheless will put up a strong fight as they’ve done lately.
Prediction: Luton 1-2 Brighton
Result: Luton 4-0 Brighton
