Czech Republic driver, Roman Stanek will stay with Trident for the 2024 F2 season.
Stanek graduated into F2 with Trident last season and went on to claim 15 points en-route to 18th in the drivers’ standings with a season-best finish of fifth in the Austrian Sprint at the Red Bull Ring.
This season will mark Stanek’s third consecutive season with the team, having joined the Italian outfit for the 2022 F3 season, during which he took victory at Emilia Romagna Feature Race as he eventually finished fifth in that campaign with one pole and three further podium finishes.
Trident Team Principal, Giacomo Ricci issued the following statement on Stanek’s renewed contract, as he commented: “We are very pleased to continue our collaboration with Roman Staněk, who has been part of our family for a long time and has been able to bring success to our single-seaters in the past.
“We are sure that all the ingredients are in place to do well and achieve increasingly ambitious goals together with the Czech rider. The experience gained in 2023 will prove useful to start the new season with the best conditions and maximum determination.”
Stanek partnered Clement Novalak for the majority of last season before Paul Aron replaced the Frenchman at the season finale, although the latter has moved to Hitech GP for this season meaning that the Czech driver will partner Richard Verschoor for the new campaign.
