Christian Mansell has joined ART Grand Prix for the 2024 F3 season.
Mansell spent this season at Campos where he claimed two positions finishes en-route to 12th in the drivers’ standings, having previously competed for Charouz in Hungary and Belgium rounds in 2022.
Mansell’s performance at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, this year in particular stood out as a highlight as he drove from 23rd on the grid to second in a chaotic weather-affected Feature Race, which earned him the Dallara Award for Best Comeback Drive at the F3 prize-giving ceremony.
Speaking about his decision to move to ART GP for 2024, Mansell commented: “I am very pleased to sign with ART Grand Prix for the 2024 FIA Formula 3 season.
“I’m looking forward to working with the team to achieve better overall results for the team and for myself as a driver.
“I’ve already competed in Macau with the team, I’m very well integrated into the ART Grand Prix group, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m really excited to start this new adventure and I can’t wait to race in Bahrain!”
ART GP Team Principal, Sebastien Philippe added: “Christian has shown that he has a good capacity to learn and progress with a good second half of the 2023 season. He confirmed his qualities with the team during the off-season tests as well as in Macau.
“In 2024, he will have all the assets to fully blossom, achieve his goals as well as those of the team.”
Mansell will partner Laurens van Hoepen plus a yet unnanounced teammate next season, which commences in Bahrain from 29 February – 2 March.
