Alpine junior, Nikola Tsolov has completed the 2024 F3 grid as he sticks with ART Grand Prix for a second season.
Tsolov finished 22nd in the championship standings in his rookie season with six points which came courtsey of seventh and ninth-placed finishes in the Belgian and Italian Sprint Races.
Looking ahead to his second season in F3 with the French team, Tsolov is excited to fight higher up the grid with a full campaign under his belt.
“I feel very much at home at ART Grand Prix, which is one of the greatest teams ever, so it’s a pleasure to continue with them for a second year in F3. I know the team, the circuits, the procedures and, apart from the tyres, I won’t have to learn anything new.
“Winter testing showed that we were consistently at the top of the timesheets, and the main target will be to be at the front at every race weekend.”
ART GP Team Principal, Sebastian Philippe added that Tsolov has had a year of learning after he graduated from Spanish F4 as champion, and will now expect the Bulgarian to fight for results this season.
“Niko has had to take a giant step forward coming from Spanish F4 and, despite the difficulties faced by the team in 2023, his determination and focus have only strengthened.
“The raw results haven’t been there, but we’ve seen Niko’s formidable talent grow throughout the season and the entire team is looking forward to getting off to a good start in 2024 so we can deliver results together in line with our ambitions and our work.”
Tsolov will partner Christian Mansell and rookie, Laurens van Hoepen at ART GP this season, as the team look to recover from a poor 2023 campaign – which saw them take zero race victories for the first time in F3 and just two podium finishes with Gregoire Saucy.
