English FA Confirm Round Dates For 2023-24 FA Cup

English FA have officially confirmed the dates for each round of 2023-24 FA Cup.

The men’s competition will kick off on the weekend of 5-6 August with the Extra Preliminary Round, before the Preliminary Round takes place a fortnight later on the weekend of 19-20 August.

September will see the Qualifying Rounds continue with the First Qualifying Round scheduled for weekend of 2-3 September, followed by the Second Qualifying Round on 16-17 September then Third Qualifying Round on weekend of 30 September – 1 October.

The fourth and final round of Qualifying will take place on the weekend of 14-15 October, with the 32 Non League clubs who prevail joining the 48 teams across Leagues One and Two who will enter the First Round proper across the weekend of 3-6 November.

Those who reach the Second Round will then be back in cup action on weekend of 1-4 December, which will see them on the cusp of qualifying for the Third Round where a blockbuster tie against Premier League or Championship opposition awaits on weekend of 5-8 January 2024.

It is at the Third Round stage that reigning champions, Manchester City will enter the competition alongside fellow clubs in the top two divisions.

Fourth Round ties will be played between 26-29 January, followed by the Fifth Round which will be played during midweek across 27-28 February.

Those lucky to reach the Quarter-Finals will be in action on weekend of 16-17 March, with those involved in the two Quarter-Final ties selected for live broadcast on ITV set to play on Sunday 17 March due to the UK broadcaster’s coverage of Rugby Six Nations the preceding day.

The semi-finals will take place at Wembley Stadium, London, across weekend of 20-21 April, before the two finalists again meet in the Capital on Saturday 25 May.
