Ido Cohen Rejoins Carlin For 2023 F3 Season

Israelian racing driver, Ido Cohen has rejoined Carlin for 2023 F3 season.

Cohen first graduated to F3 with Carlin in 2021 after he finished seventh for the team in 2020 EuroFormula Open Championship, although his rookie season in the category ultimately ended in zero points with a season-best finish of 12th in the opening Dutch race.

Last season saw Cohen switch to Jenzer where he recorded just one points-finish with a ninth-placed finish in the Austrian Feature Race, as he finished 24th overall like he did in 2021.

Cohen though has decided to reunite with Carlin for his third season in F3 and is “very happy” to be back with the British team, which he described as “.. like going back to family.”

The 21 year-old also praised Carlin for their evolution since he last drove for the team as he commented: “The team have made some positive changes since we were last racing together and I’m excited to see everything come together again when we get on track next week in Bahrain.”

Carlin’s Team Principal, Stephanie Carlin added that the team are “delighted” to welcome Cohen back after just one season apart.

Carlin proceeded to explain that she believes that the team can provide Cohen with a competitive car, as she said: “We have a great working relationship together and a good understanding of what Ido needs to feel comfortable in the car.

“Combined with Ido’s experience in the championship, we look forward to making a positive start to the season in pre-season testing.”

Cohen will drive the number 22 car and completes Carlin’s F3 line-up alongside Williams F1 junior, Oliver Gray and America’s Hunter Yeany who will drive car numbers 20 and 21 respectively.
