
Liverpool will face Real Madrid in a rematch of last season’s Final following Round of 16 draw in 2022-23 UEFA Champions League.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool face a difficult challenge in their bid for a seventh Champions League title, having been drawn against Real Madrid who beat them in last season’s Final through Vinicius Junior’s second-half winner.
Manchester City’s reward for winning Group G is a tie against Bundesliga’s RB Leipzig who finished second in Group F, as Pep Guardiola Citizens’ chase a first Champions League title.
Antonio Conte’s Tottenham face a tricky tie away to AC Milan after the pair both won final matchday showdowns in the Group Stage against Marseille and RB Salzburg respectively, which proved enough to qualify for this round.
Graham Potter’s Chelsea will face 1997 winners, Borussia Dortmund for a place in the Quarter-Finals as Potter’s Blues chase a third Champions League title.
Elsewhere, .PSG will meet Bayern Munich in a blockbuster encounter and marks the third consecutive season that both teams have met in this competition, after Bayern won the 2019-20 Final but PSG prevailed on away goals following a 3-3 aggregate draw in last season’s Quarter-Finals.
Eintracht Frankfurt will face Group A winners, Napoli, in an intriguing encounter between last season’s Europa League winners and the in-form Serie A club.
Inter Milan and Club Brugge will play Porto and Benfica respectively in the two other all-European ties.
Round of 16 ties will be contested across four matchweeks in February and March 2023, with first legs to be played in the midweeks of 14-15 and 21-22 February with unseeded teams playing the opening legs at home.
The return legs will then be played across midweeks of 7-8 and 14-15 March, with seeded teams having home advantage in the concluding legs of this round.
