Premier League confirm live broadcast picks for across the festive fortnight in Xmas 2022
England’s top-flight will take a mid-season break after 13 November to make way for 2022 FIFA World Cup and will return on Boxing Day, with all ten matches streamed live exclusively on Amazon Prime.
Brentford’s home clash against Tottenham at Gtech Community Stadium will be the first match to take place upon resumption of the domestic season, with kick-off confirmed for 12:30pm GMT whilst Arsenal will host West Ham at Emirates Stadium in the Boxing Night Football clash at 8pm GMT.
Other highlights from Amazon’s festive round of fixtures include Liverpool’s trip to Aston Villa at 5:30pm on Boxing Day, whilst Leeds United host Manchester City on Wednesday 28 December at Elland Road.
The final round of 2022 will be spread across 30 December – 1 January 2023, with the final match of current calendar year seeing Brighton host Arsenal live on Sky Sports in a 5:30pm kick-off on New Year’s Eve.
Sky will also transmit the opening matches of 2023 as Tottenham take on Aston Villa in North London at 2pm on New Year’s Day, followed by Chelsea’s trip to Nottingham Forest at 4:30pm that afternoon.
BT will air just one match across the festive season as Manchester United visit Wolves at Molineux on New Year’s Eve, with the match getting underway at 12:30pm, having opted to pass the January Bank Holiday round.
Sky consequently will air the first six top-flight matches of 2023 after selecting the following four matches for live broadcast from the January Bank Holiday round, albeit stripped over four days;
- 2 January – Brentford v Liverpool (5:30pm)
- 3 January – Arsenal v Newcastle (8:00pm)
- 4 January – Crystal Palace v Tottenham (8:00pm)
- 5 January – Chelsea v Manchester City (8:00pm)
