2021-22 Sky Bet Championship: Week 29 – Tuesday

Swansea City welcome Luton Town to the Liberty Stadium in a rearranged Sky Bet Championship clash. 

Victory would see Swansea climb above Bristol City and Birmingham City into 16th, whereas Luton can leapfrog Coventry into ninth with a win.

Flynn Downes could return after missing Saturday’s defeat at Hull through suspension.

Luton have no fresh injury concerns to report as Jed Steer looks to make his Hatters debut in goal after signing on loan from Aston Villa until end of this season.

Sonny Bradley, Jordan Clark and Elijah Adebayo all missed out in Saturday’s goalless draw against Blackburn unspecified injuries.

Prediction

Despite dominating Hull on Saturday, Swansea were simply wasteful of their chances throughout which proved the difference in their defeat, so hopefully we will see them regroup here and refocus with improved finishing to their attacks on top of tighter defending.

Luton meanwhile did well to have the edge over Blackburn in their goalless draw at the weekend in windy conditions, which certainly made finishing chances that bit harder on top of squad rotations but the Hatters can take heart from a strong all-round performance.

This game though should see Swansea deliver a more fighting display whereas Luton will have one eye on Saturday’s FA Cup trip to Cambridge, in turn hopefully meaning that we see a good scrap between two solid teams.
