Chelsea welcome Burnley to Stamford Bridge in the first of a Super Sunday quadruple header.

Victory could send Chelsea seventh whereas Burnley look to climb to 14th with a win.

Chelsea have no fresh injury concerns to report as N’Golo looks set to be in contention after making a full recovery from a hamstring injury, which sidelined the French midfielder in recent weeks.

Burnley could be without Ashley Barnes after a knock kept him out of Wednesday’s comeback win over Aston Villa.

Josh Brownhill (foot) and Charlie Taylor (hamstring) could also not be risked with Sean Dyche potentially naming an unchanged lineup.

Stat Attack

  • Chelsea are unbeaten in their last six matches against Burnley (W5, D1).
  • Burnley have won just one of their last six trips to Stamford Bridge (W1, D2, L3).
  • Chelsea have conceded first in two of their last three home games against Burnley.
  • Mason Mount has drawn more fouls than any other Chelsea player this season, having been fouled on 31 occasions in 19 appearances.
  • Only one of Chris Wood’s four league goals for Burnley this season has come from a header.

Prediction

Having spent just 24 hours under Thomas Tuchel’s control, Chelsea produced a strong attacking display in Wednesday’s goalless draw against Wolves but lacked an end product to their build-up so we should hopefully see a sharper performance here.

Burnley meanwhile were outplayed by Aston Villa but maximised their chances from the left flank brilliantly to grab the win, although their stubborn defending will be vital if want a result here because I feel like Chelsea will turn up and dominate given Tuchel’s attacking style.

This though feels like a Chelsea win if can build on the positives of midweek and add clinical finishing to their play, although Burnley are in decent form so will pose a tougher test than Tuchel might expect.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Burnley
