Liverpool remain top of Premier League from Manchester City after both teams emerged victorious, taking 3-1 wins against Manchester United and Everton respectively.
Starting at the Etihad, Richarlison nearly gave the Toffees an early lead when he headed Lucas Digne’s cross wide. Man City then punished that miss when Leroy Sane set up Gabriel Jesus to fire in from a tight left angle to open the scoring.

Everton then pulled one back in similar fashion in 65th minute when Digne’s cross was smashed in by a leaping Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Whilst Liverpool occupy top spot, the Red Devils remain sixth but Wolves sit in between them and now eighth placed Everton with two points separating these three teams, after beating Bournemouth through Raul Jimenez and Ivan Cavaleiro goals.
West Ham meanwhile rose to ninth after thrashing bottom placed Fulham 2-0, who are now three points adrift of third bottom Burnley, who fell to a late Christian Eriksen strike at third placed Tottenham despite a fantastic defensive performance.

Chelsea meanwhle kept pace with Spurs after taking a 2-1 win at Brighton, whilst Arsenal visited Southampton looking to continue their 22 match unbeaten run as the Saints looked to impress under new boss – Ralph Hasenhuttl.
As expected, it was Arsenal who made the better start when Matteo Guendouzi set up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who saw his shot saved by Alex McCarthy on six minutes.
Southampton however struck first when Danny Ings headed Matt Targett’s cross in past Bernd Leno 14 minutes later. Arsenal soon levelled after Nacho Monreal set up Henrikh khitaryan to equalise with his own header.

Both teams then had chances to get a third with Shane Long going closest, when he tapped in a spilled save of Maya Yoshida’s header but was ruled offside,
Southampton eventually got the winner when Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg played a pass through Arsenal’s defence for Long to chase down, then chip across for Charlie Austin to just head in above a leaping Leno with five minutes left and end Arsenal’s 22 match unbeaten run.
