Marcel Sabitzer could be available for Borussia Dortmund after recovering from illness.

Mats Hummels (calf) and Donyell Malen (thigh) are doubts but Ian Maatsen and Emre Can will return from domestic suspensions.

Sebastien Haller (ankle) and Ramy Bensebaini (knee) remain ruled out.

PSG have no fresh injury concerns to report after their 3-3 draw against Le Havre in Ligue 1,with Kylian Mbappe amongst several players set to return after they were rested at the weekend.

Sergio Rico (head), Layvin Kurzawa (back) and Presnel Kimpembe (Achilles) are still ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Dortmund host PSG at Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday 1 May at 9pm CEST (8pm UK Time), live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Borussia Dortmund have won one of four previous Champions League meetings against PSG (W1, D1, L2).
  • PSG are winless in two previous visits to Borussia Dortmund (D1, L1), including a 1-1 draw in the group stage of this season’s competition.
  • Borussia Dortmund are yet to keep a clean sheet against PSG in the Champions League.
  • Dortmund have scored first in their last four Champions League matches at home (W3, D1).
  • Four of Kylian Mbappe’s eight Champions League goals for PSG this season were scored away from home.

Prediction

Having not featured amongst many favourites to reach the semi-finals, Borussia Dortmund have shown that they are not a team to underestimate but this will be an interesting game – having met twice in the group stage which PSG won at home before a 1-1 draw here in Dortmund.

Dortmund though can afford to throw everything into this tie given that a top-four finish in Bundesliga looks unlikely, and have scored first in their last Champions League games at home which will give them some strong belief.

PSG however can’t be underestimated after several regulars were rested and after coming from behind in both legs of their eventual Quarter-Final win over Barcelona on aggregate, I expect them to be favourites unless Dortmund mix it up and avoid the crosses trap that usurped Barcelona.

PSG’s away record at Signal Iduna Park however isn’t exactly strong in this competition and seeing as this is the first leg, I do fancy Dortmund to make it difficult and nick at least a draw to set up a tasty return leg.

Prediction: Borussia Dortmund 1-1 PSG

Result: Borussia Dortmund 1-0 PSG
