Jefferson Lerma is ruled out for Palace after he suffered a muscle injury during their win at Liverpool.

Rob Holding (ankle) could return but Sam Johnstone (elbow), Jesurun Rak-Sakyi (hamstring), Marc Guehi, Chris Richards (both knee), Matheus Franca (adductor) and Cheick Docoure (Achilles) remain absent.

West Ham will welcome Emerson Palmieri and Lucas Paqueta back into contention after the pair were suspended for the Hammers’ Europa League exit against Bayer Leverkusen.

Jarrod Bowen might not be risked here as manager – David Moyes looks to manage his game time, following his return on Thursday evening from a knock which kept him out of their two previous matches.

Konstantinos Mavropanos (knock), Kalvin Phillips (hamstring) and Alphonse Areola (groin) face late fitness tests.

Nayef Aguerd (ankle) is unlikely to be risked but George Earthy (concussion) is definitely ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Palace host West Ham at Selhurst Park on Sunday 21 April at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Palace have lost one of their last five league meetings against West Ham (W2, D2, L1).
  • West Ham have avoided defeat in seven of their last nine league visits to Palace (W5, D2, L2).
  • Both teams have scored in eight of their last nine league clashes at Selhurst Park, except for a 1-0 West Ham win in October 2016.
  • Jean-Philippe Mateta has scored in Palace’s last three home matches (W1, D1, L1).
  • West Ham have won two of their four London derbies on the road this season (W2, L2).

Prediction

Having clinically beaten Liverpool at Anfield with a resilient defensive yet clinical attacking performance at Anfield, Palace should come into this game with proper confidence now that one more win will surely all but mathematically guarantee survival.

West Ham meanwhile know that a top-six finish is surely imperative if want European football next season after their gutsy exit to Leverkusen, because they did certainly play well but just lacked that edge to find a second goal before conceding late on.

This fixture also seems to deliver goals in South London so I do expect more of the same but West Ham ought to win this if they can just find that extra quality, although a draw might be a fair outcome based on recent performances.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 West Ham

Result: Crystal Palace 5-2 West Ham
