Already relegated Sheffield United host relegation battling Nottingham Forest at Bramall Lane.
Anything less than a win would see Sheffield Utd finish bottom of the table this season, whilst Forest will stay out of the relegation zone if Burnley and Luton fail to win elsewhere.
Team News
James McAtee will be available for Sheffield Utd after he missed their defeat at Newcastle with a knock.
Rhian Brewster (hamstring) is a doubt but Chris Basham, Max Lowe (both ankle), Rhys Norrington-Davies (hamstring), George Baldock, Tom Davies (both calf), John Egan (foot), Oli McBurnie (groin) and Daniel Jebbison (illness) remain absent.
Forest could hand fitness tests to Nicolas Dominguez, Neco Williams, Murillo, Willy Boly (all knock) and Taiwo Awoniyi (unspecified).
When is Kick-Off?
Sheffield Utd host Forest at Bramall Lane on Saturday 4 May at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Sheffield Utd are unbeaten in two of three previous Premier League meetings against Forest (W1, D1, L1).
- Forest drew 0-0 in their only Premier League visit to Sheffield Utd in October 1992.
- Sheffield Utd have lost two of their last three meetings against Forest by 2-1 results.
- Anel Ahmedhodzic has made more clearances than any other Sheffield Utd player this season (129).
- Out of the bottom four clubs coming into this matchweek, no player has scored more headed goals than Forest’s Chris Wood (5).
Prediction
With relegation now confirmed after blowing an early lead at Newcastle, Sheffield Utd now can play with no pressures on them in their last three games but sorting out their defensive play now has to be the focus ahead of their return to the Championship.
Forest meanwhile aren’t safe but this is a huge chance to boost their survival chances especially if they can find an end product after a positive performance in their defeat to Man City, where they certainly tested City’s defence but lacked a clinical edge up front.
In fact, I would say that this is absolutely must-win for Forest otherwise I can see the relegation fight going to the final day – with Forest facing a difficult trip to Burnley which could be a winners-take-all game to stay up if the Clarets can get something in their two games beforehand.
Chris Wilder’s Blades though have been poor at home lately which might just be the glimmer of hope that Forest can take advantage of, but only if they score first then can kick on.
Prediction: Sheffield United 0-1 Nottingham Forest
Result: Sheffield United 1-3 Nottingham Forest
