Sky Sports have announced three matches for live broadcast on the final day of 2023-24 Championship season.

As is traditional on the final day, all 12 matches will kick off simultaneously with pivotal fixtures broadcast live on TV – which this year will commence at 12:30pm on Saturday 3 May.

Sky will air Ipswich’s clash against Huddersfield as their main match on Sky Sports Main Event, with Kieran McKenna’s Tractor Boys needing to avoid defeat in order to secure back-to-back promotions and a return to the Premier League after a 22 year absence.

Huddersfield meanwhile must simply win by a huge margin and hope that Birmingham fail to win at home to Norwich whilst Plymouth suffer an almighty loss at home to Hull, otherwise the Terriers will be relegated to League One.

Birmingham’s game against Norwich has also been selected for broadcast due to its implications in relegation and play-off races, with the game being aired on Sky Sports Premier League.

Birmingham must win and hope that any of Blackburn, Sheffield Wednesday or Plymouth lose – although a a draw for Plymouth would be enough for Gary Rowett’s Blues to survive the drop.

Should Birmingham draw their match against Norwich then they can stay up if Plymouth lose by five goals at minimum.

Norwich meanwhile will secure a play-off spot with a win or draw, although victory would guarantee them fifth and set up a play-off semi-final against Southampton.

Sky will broadcast Leeds’ match against Southampton on Sky Sports Football with Daniel Farke’s Whites currently holding an outside chance of automatic promotion due to their superior goal difference over Ipswich.

Leeds though must beat Southampton and hope that McKenna’s Tractor Boys lose to Huddersfield, in order to seal an immediate return to the top-flight.
