2026-27 Premier League: Week Eight – Coventry vs Fulham

Coventry face a massive test against Fulham in the race for Premier League survival.

Victory could lift Coventry as high as 10th in the table, whilst Fulham can climb out of the relegation zone at their hosts’ expense and go as high as 11th.

Team News

Coventry have no fresh injury concerns after their 3-1 defeat at Tottenham.

Aurele Amenda (calf), Josh Eccles (ankle), Luke Woolfenden (knee) and Haji Wright (quad) remain sidelined.

Fulham will be without Ryan Sessegnon after he was red carded during their 1-0 victory at home over Hull.

Hugo Larsson (groin) and Emile Smith Rowe (knock) are doubts.

When is Kick-Off?

Coventry host Fulham at CBS Arena on Saturday 24 October at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • This is Coventry’s first Premier League meeting against Fulham.
  • Fulham are making their first Premier League trip to Coventry, but have won one of their last six visits in the EFL (W1, L5).
  • No Coventry player has made more interceptions than Brandon Thomas Asante (12).
  • Fulham are looking to achieve consecutive wins for the first time under Alvaro Arbeloa.

Prediction

Having been clinically outplayed at Tottenham through small costly defensive errors, Coventry must put that behind them and regroup because this is winnable if they can play as well as they’ve done lately and it is this type of match that they need to be winning if want to stay up.

Fulham however ended their winless rut with a hard-fought home win against Hull but if they’re to truly turn a corner, they must now back that result up with another win and that victory will of given them a huge confidence boost coming to one of their bogey grounds.

I therefore am expecting a good match between two teams who have finally began to click now and although the first goal feels key, I can see this ending in a draw.

Prediction: Coventry 1-1 Fulham
