Ipswich kick off this weekend’s Premier League action at home to struggling Nottingham Forest.
Victory will lift Ipswich up to sixth in the table, although they can go fifth only if win by a five-goal margin or higher.
Forest meanwhile can climb out of the relegation zone where they sit second bottom and move up to 11th with a win.

- Forest have won two of their three previous visits to Ipswich in the Premier League (W2, L1).
- Two of Forest’s four Premier League victories against Ipswich by were by 1-0 results in August 1994 and November 2024 respectively.

- Forest have claimed four points in their three away games so far this season (W1, D1, L1).
Prediction
Although Ipswich never stood a chance of getting any points at Man City, they deserve credit for pushing the league leaders all the way with two goals and I hope that they can use the positives of that effort to push on in this winnable test as this is a great chance to consolidate their current mid-table position.
Forest meanwhile be disappointed to had not held Arsenal with a late conceded goal but to still go toe-to-toe with the champions without Gibbs-White was a solid effort, but they ideally need to start putting wins together if are to move away from the relegation scrap soon.
Ipswich though do look more comfortable and solid quality wise but this game nevertheless should be a decent battle, and one that I think could end in a point apiece.
Prediction: Ipswich 1-1 Forest
