2024-25 Premier League: Week 13 – Forest vs Ipswich

Nottingham Forest host relegation-battling Ipswich in an exciting Premier League clash.

Victory would see Forest climb to sixth unless fifth-placed Brighton lose heavily to Southampton, whilst Ipswich could move out of the relegation zone with a win because Everton don’t play until Sunday.

Team News

Morgan Gibbs-White could return for Forest after he missed their 3-0 loss at Arsenal with an ankle injury.

Elliot Anderson (foot) is a doubt but Anthony Elanga (shoulder) is unlikely to feature.

Ibrahim Sangare (hamstring) and Danilo (ankle) remain sidelined.

Ipswich could welcome Nathan Broadhead (groin), Jacob Greaves (hamstring), Ben Johnson (knock) and Kalvin Phillips (unspecified) back into contention.

George Hirst (knee) and Chiedozie Ogbene (Achilles) remain ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Forest host Ipswich at the City Ground on Saturday 30 November at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Forest have won two of four previous Premier League meetings against Ipswich (W2, L2).
  • Ipswich have won one of two previous Premier League trips to Forest (W1, L1).
  • Forest are yet to keep a clean sheet at home to Ipswich in the Premier League.
  • Defeat would see Forest suffer three consecutive defeats for the first time since February – March 2024.
  • Liam Delap has scored in each of Ipswich’s last three away games.

Prediction

With two consecutive defeats and a lacklustre display at Arsenal with little quality, Forest really need Gibbs-White back because they looked lost without him in North London or alternatively need to learn to cope without him.

Ipswich meanwhile dug deep defensively to snatch a deserved draw against Manchester United, yet they looked confident when attacking at pace with a firm strategy and organisation to their attacks.

Now if they bring that quality and Forest aren’t at their best, I would fancy Ipswich to snatch a win here.

Prediction: Nottingham Forest 1-2 Ipswich

Result: Nottingham Forest 1-0 Ipswich
