2026-27 Sky Bet League Two: Week 11 – Tranmere vs Barnet

Tranmere Rovers face a difficult League Two test against promotion-chasing Barnet.

Victory could put Tranmere as high as the play-off spots depending on results elsewhere going in their favour, whilst Barnet can go top with a win if Salford fail to beat Crawley.

Team News

Tranmere have no fresh injury concerns to report after their 1-1 draw at home to Rochdale last weekend.

Zane Okoro remains absent with a shoulder injury.

Barnet have no fresh injury concerns to report after their 3-1 win at Bristol Rovers.

When is Kick-Off?

Tranmere host Barnet at Prenton Park on Saturday 17 October at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Tranmere are yet to beat Barnet in League Two (L2).
  • Barnet won 2-0 in their only previous away league visit to Tranmere in October 2025 (W1).
  • Tranmere conceded three goals across their two meetings against Barnet last season without reply.
  • Tranmere are winless in their last five league matches (D3, L2).
  • Barnet are still yet to keep a clean sheet in League Two this season.

Prediction

Despite being on a five-match winless league run, Tranmere are still yet to taste defeat at home but will feel frustrated to had drawn against Rochdale after they conceded from the latter’s only shot on target, yet they will have to be even tighter if want to keep Barnet quiet.

Dean Brennan’s Barnet meanwhile certainly had to weather a difficult trip to Bristol Rovers but crucially were more clinical in their final touches late on after a sloppy start, so I expect confidence to be high because this is a winnable game if they continue their unbeaten league form.

I personally feel that Tranmere will try and make it difficult defensively but Barnet’s firepower could well be the difference.

Prediction: Tranmere 1-2 Barnet
