Relegation-battling Fulham face a tricky Premier League test against top-four-chasing Hull at Craven Cottage.
Victory would lift Fulham out of the relegation zone and as high as 15th, whilst Hull can climb as high as fourth with a win
Team News
Tom Cairney is set for his first appearance of the season for Fulham
Antonee Robinson (ankle) is also in contention after he missed their 2-1 loss at Ipswich, but Hugo Larson (groin) faces a late fitness check.
Hull will be without Nobel Mendy after he suffered a groin injury during their 2-2 draw at home to Everton last Sunday.
Mohamed-Ali Cho (leg) and Lucas Gourna-Douath (calf) missed that match and have again been ruled out.
Jack Butland (arm), Eliot Matzo (ACL), Matt Targett (ankle), Darko Gyabi (adductor), Ilyas Ansah (back) and Charlie Hughes (hernia) are still ruled out.
When is Kick-Off?
Fulham host Hull at Craven Cottage on Saturday 17 October at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Fulham have won just one of their six previous Premier League meetings against Hull (W1, D1, L4).
- Hull have claimed four points in their three previous Premier League visits to Fulham (W1, D1, L1).
- Fulham have kept just one clean sheet in the top flight this season (D2, L4).
- No Hull player has created more passes this season than Konstantinos Tzolakis (221).
Prediction
Poor defending seems to sum up Fulham’s campaign given that they have just two clean sheets in all competitions but this is a winnable game if they can sort out their defensive work – especially against a counter-attacking club like Hull, but they will of hurt to had conceded twice late at Ipswich.
Hull though certainly found themselves in a good scrap against Everton and earned a fair point apiece and with a chance to keep pace with the top four, they will feel that this is more winnable than they might of thought pre-season as they at that point would of marked this as must-win in a likely relegation fight.
Yet the tables have turned with Fulham in the dogfight and Hull sniffing around the European qualification spots so this should be fun, particularly as both teams would of had their eye on this fixture as an absolutely winnable game but I can see a draw brewing.
Prediction: Fulham 1-1 Hull
