Rodin have signed Reza Seewooruthun for the 2027 FIA Formula 3 season.
Seewooruthun’s graduation into F3 comes after he finished 16th in Formula Regional European Championship (FREC) this year, during which he recorded two podium finishes – second in the second Austrian race and third in the first Hungarian race.
The move also secures continuity for both the 20-year-old British driver and UK-based New Zealand team as he steps up to the third tier of single-seater racing, with Seewooruthun pleased to stay with Rodin as he steps into a new category in 2027.
“I’m proud to be staying with Rodin Motorsport as I move into Formula 3 next year. It’s an honour to make that step with a team I trust. I’m excited for this next chapter, but the next few months are focused on hard work before we get to the season opener.”
Rodin’s Sporting Director, Benn Huntingford added that the decision to retain Seewooruthun will allow the youngster to build on his pace in FREC.
“It’s great to see Reza continuing his development with the team as he steps up to FIA Formula 3. He’s shown some promising pace throughout his time in FREC and secured two podiums this season, which have been important milestones in his progression.
“We’re looking forward to building on that experience with him and seeing what he can achieve in F3.”
Seewooruthun will partner Pedro Clerot who is returning to the series for a second season with Rodin after a solid rookie campaign, with the pair set to be joined by a third driver who will be announced in due course.
