Huddersfield Town manager, Martin Drury is “disappointed and frustrated” that his Terriers lost 2-1 at Bromley.
Mickel Miller’s 71st-minute winner from 20 yards fired Bromley to victory over his former team, after Ashley Fletcher had headed Huddersfield level in first-half injury time following JJ McKiernan’s initial header for the hosts.
Drury post-match lamented his team for their wasted dominance with eight of 18 shots converted onto target but just bone goal, alongside 38 touches in Bromley’s box whilst the Ravens scored twice from their three shots on target out of five shots in total.
“I’m disappointed and frustrated that we haven’t won the game, for the dominance that we had. At times, I though the played some really good football. I’ve just looked at the numbers, and it’s incredible the amount of chances that we have created.
“We have had 38 touches in the opponents box, yet again. So, it is utterly disappointing that we haven’t scored more goals and taken three points from the game. On balance, dominance, chances created, and what the opponent had, no disrespect to them, we should have had more today.”
Drury also iterated that Huddersfield must sort out their end product in order to progress forward as they now embark on a fortnight’s break before they visit Burton Albion on Saturday 3 October at 3pm BST.
“I am looking at the chances we have created. They aren’t half chances, you know? They are some really glaring chances in front of goal. We have to finish. We have to finish. That will direct our work moving forwards.”
