2026-27 UEFA Champions League: League Phase – Slavia Prague vs Arsenal

Slavia Prague look to ignite their 2026-27 UEFA Champions League campaign in a league phase clash against Arsenal.

Victory could lift Slavia Prague into the knockout play-off spots, whilst Arsenal can stay in the top eight with a win.

Team News

Slavia Prague will hand late fitness tests to Jakub Markovic, Lukas Provod (both muscle), Stepan Chaloupek and Samuel Isife (both illness).

Tomas Chory (disciplinary), Adonija Ouanda (muscle), Igoh Ogbu (Achilles) and Ivan Schranz (illness) are ruled out.

Arsenal will welcome Max Dowman back into contention because his suspension only applies to domestic matches, having served the first of his three-match domestic ban in their 1-0 Premier League win at Liverpool.

William Saliba is in contention for a surprise early return after he resumed full training following a back injury suffered in July at the World Cup for France.

Bukayo Saka remains absent with a quad injury.

When is Kick-Off?

Slavia Prague host Arsenal at Fortuna Arena on Wednesday 4 November at 9pm CEST (8pm BST), live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Slavia Prague are yet to beat Arsenal in the Champions League (D1, L2).
  • Arsenal are yet to lose away to Slavia Prague in the Champions League (W1, D1), having drawn 0-0 in November 2007 then won 3-0 in November 2025 in their two previous visits.
  • Slavia Prague are yet to score against Arsenal in the Champions League, having conceded 10 goals across two of their three previous meetings in this competition.
  • Slavia Prague are yet to keep a clean sheet in the league phase this season (D1, L2).
  • Eberechi Eze has scored in both of Arsenal’s last two league phase matches (W1, D1).

Prediction

With just one point and four goals in their three league phase games so far, Slavia Prague ideally have to view this as must win if they’re to have any chance of pushing for a knockout play-off spot because their remaining four matches are brutal.

Arsenal meanwhile clinically saw off Liverpool on Sunday with a nice first-half performance and a resiliently disciplined defensive second half, in which they looked in control comfortably throughout off the ball but this is a great chance to boost their top-eight Champions League chances.

Although Slavia Prague will put up a decent fight, I just see Arsenal getting a clinical result such is the difference in quality.

Prediction: Slavia Prague 0-2 Arsenal

Result: Slavia Prague 1-2 Arsenal
