AFC Wimbledon manager, Johnnie Jackson has praised his team for a “solid” 2-0 victory at Bromley.
Jayden Stockley nodded the Dons into an eighth-minute lead from James Tilley’s cross before he turned playmaker in the 67th minute, as he teed up Myles Hippolyte to net their second goal to wrap up their first league victory over Bromley at EFL level and move up to 15th in League One.
Jackson post-match spoke to UK broadcaster, Sky Sports in which he praised his team for their display in a London derby, especially given that Bromley had just seen their 27-match unbeaten league run at home ended by Leyton Orient last week, whilst the Dons had suffered a 4-1 loss at Burton Albion in their last away outing.
“Really proud of the team. I think it was a good performance, a solid away performance, coming to a tough place in my experience it’s always difficult coming here.
So, to play the way that we did in a London derby and stand up to their threats and then show a little bit of quality that we did on the night and score two good goals.
“Obviously we had a disappointing result last time out so, the reaction from the boys has been top drawer tonight.”
AFC Wimbledon now look for consecutive league victories for the first time since March 2026 when they host Doncaster Rovers at Plough Lane on Saturday 12 September at 3pm BST.
