Pierre Gasly has lost his third-placed podium finish at the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix on appeal.

Gasly finished third on the road in Monaco but a pair of five-second time penalties dropped him to seventh and promoted his fellow Frenchman, Isack Hadjar to the podium.

Alpine subsequently appealed the penalties which were rescinded a week later after it was found that there had been technical issues with F1 Official timing across the pit entry lines.

McLaren and Red Bull however launched an appeal against the decision to reinstate Gasly’s podium and the FIA International Court of Appeal ruled in their favour, having declared the appeals as ‘admissible’ and reinstated Gasly’s penalties under Articles 14.12.1 and 14.12.2 of the Judicial and Disciplinary Rules.

Red Bull’s Isack Hadjar consequently inherited third again from Oscar Piastri, Racing Bulls’ Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad, as Gasly was dropped to seventh in the classification.
