Bromley have signed midfielder, Tobias Brenan from Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed transfer fee.
Brenan is Bromley’s 12th signing of the summer transfer window as he returns to his home city of London – born in Camden – after four years playing away from the UK capital which culminated in a 18-month stint at Wigan where he made 11 first-team appearances.
Teasing fans as to what they can expect from him, Brenan feels that that he will bring energy to the midfield and hopefully add some goals and assists.
“I would say that I am energetic. I like to get up and down. I work really hard, chip in with goals and assists where I can and just yeah work for the badge.”
The 20-year-old began his career at grassroots level in London and was scouted whilst representing Inno Sportscout Agency, of which he registered with in 2022 and went on to be snapped up by Oxford United on a two-year scholarship in May that year.
Towards the end of his time at the Us, Brenan was loaned to Didcot Town where he scored one goal in 14 appearances but was subsequently released by Oxford Utd in May 2024.
He then spent the first half of the 2024-25 season on trial at Wigan before he signed a contract with the Latics in January 2025, and went on to make 11 first-team appearances in the first half of last season before he was loaned out to Harrogate Town in February for the second half of the campaign.
Although Harrogate ultimately were relegated to the National League on the final day of the season, Brennan managed to score three goals in 16 appearances for the Sulphurites.
Brenan will wear the number 27 shirt this season.
