Bromley continued their 2026-27 pre-season with a 1-1 draw against Millwall at the CopperJax Stadium.
Ethon Archer fired Bromley into a 41st-minute lead from a deflection in a first half largely dominated by Millwall.
Millwall however snatched a 56th-minute equaliser through Mathias Servais as he fired in from his interception of a clearance of Femi Azeez’s cross, but couldn’t complete a comeback as Bromley clung on for a draw.
After their clinical friendly victory over Crystal Palace last Saturday, Bromley again endured a nervy start as Omar Sowunmi’s sixth-minute clearance of Azeez’s cross was blasted over by Servais.
Millwall continued to push for the opening goal like they did in this pre-season friendly last season as Tairyk Arconte forced a save from Shamal George, before the latter twice denied Kyrell Lisbie.
Bromley however were dealt an injury blow late in the first half when Deon Woodman had to be substituted due to injury, with loanee – Richard Taylor brought on for his debut in his place.
Millwall’s failure to clinically convert their chances were eventually punished in the 43rd minute as Archer broke forward from the right with a shot, which took a deflection into the net to put Bromley in front at half time.
Millwall however continued to push early in the second half as Servais fired a 52nd-minute shot wide.
The 21-year-old Belgian midfield eventually got his rewards just four minutes later as he met a clearance of Azeez’s cross and fired in past George to restore parity.
Millwall soon kept up their pressure as substitute, Mark Sykes forced a 75th-minute save from George, before Servais fired over the bar with his rebound shot.
Tristian Crama then saw a potential late match-winning header hit the crossbar from Alfie Doughty’s corner as Millwall were frustratingly held to a draw by Andy Woodman’s Ravens, although the hosts suffered another injury loss as Taylor came off in injury time.
Bromley now host QPR on Friday 31 July at 7:30pm BST in the third of four pre-season friendlies at home, which concludes with a clash against Liverpool Under-21s on Wednesday 5 August at 7:45pm.
Millwall meanwhile conclude their pre-season at The Den on Saturday 1 August at 3pm against Belgium’s Royal Antwerp.
