Rugby legend, Mike Tindall MBE has visited Bromley Football Club as part of the team’s new partnership with Hospitality Finder.
Tindall’s visit to the CopperJax Community Stadium comes amidst the start of Bromley’s new partnership with Hospitality Finder, of which he is an ambassador, and saw him meet the players and tour the club’s facilities – including Broomfields.
During his rugby career, Tindall won 75 caps for England and was part of the team which won the 2003 Rugby World Cup, and has since went on to marry Zara Phillips, who is the daughter of Anne, Princess Royal.
Speaking to bromleyfc.co.uk about his trip, Tindall quipped that he had no idea what he had let himself in for given Bromley’s rise from National League to League One over the last two years.
“You know I didn’t really know what to expect here. Obviously, Bromley FC hasn’t come across my radar too much but just meeting the players and looking at the setup, it’s bonkers what you’ve done over the last sort of five, six years.
“And, you know, coming from non-league up into League One, it’s impressive. You really should be proud of it. I know there’s still plans of bigger things to happen at the stadium, but it’s awesome!”
Tindall also acknowledged the club’s new partnership with Hospitality Finder and joked that he might head down on a more regular basis to the club.
“There’s so much going on in my own sport that football becomes secondary, but it’s great that you now have a partnership with Hospitality Finder, which is very close to my heart as well, so who knows? I might be down in Bromley a bit more now.”
