Midfielder, Ben Krauhaus has joined Falkirk on loan from Brentford for the 2026-27 season.
Ben spent last season on loan at his former club, Bromley, where he produced one goal and three assists as he helped the Ravens achieve a historic maiden promotion to League One and snatch the League Two title from MK Dons on the final day of the campaign.
Brentford however have now decided to send the 21 year-old on loan to Scottish Premiership’s Falkirk for the upcoming season, reuniting him with his ex Brentford B teammate – Ethan Laidlaw.
Brentford B-team Head Coach, Sam Saunders explained that this loan move is designed to test Ben at a higher level, whilst benefitting from having Ethan at the club after the latter left the Bees in June to make the move to Falkirk on a free transfer.
“Ben’s season at Bromley was successful, and to come away from it with a League Two title and promotion to League One is a brilliant achievement. Now he gets the chance to test himself in a different environment, in a different country, against difficult teams.
“He’ll have Ethan out there with him too, which will help him settle in quickly. We think this is a really exciting opportunity for Ben to keep developing as a men’s football regular in a good team, and we wish him all the best at Falkirk.”
Falkirk manager, John McGlynn added that Brentford had put Ben forward to Chief Scout, Alan Fraser, which led the club to sign him on loan, with McGlynn impressed at Ben’s senior experience in big matches.
“He is only 21 but already has nearly 100 appearances in senior football, which is an excellent amount of experience for someone so young, particularly in England where players do not always get their breakthrough as quickly.
“Ben was playing for Bromley when Brentford signed him and last season he was a big part of the squad that won promotion to League One. He therefore comes to us with a lot of experience, having already played in some big games, and that can only help us.
“This is a good platform for Ben to take the next step in his career and I am sure he will do an excellent job for us in the season ahead.”
