Bromley have signed defender, Deon Woodman from Wealdstone for an undisclosed transfer fee.
Woodman is Bromley’s sixth signing of the transfer window and is making a huge leap up two divisions from the National League to League One, having contributed two goals and assists apiece in 43 total appearances at Wealdstone last season.
The 23 year-old consequently has left Wealdstone after he delivered two goals and assists apiece in 57 total appearances since he joined the National League club in late April 2024, just two months after he initially joined on a short-term loan from QPR.
Woodman – bearing no relation to manager, Andy Woodman – began his career at Crystal Palace within their youth academy before he joined QPR, where he went out on loan to Dulwich Hamlets in March 2023 before he had loan stints at Wealdstone and Southend the following season.
He subsequently went on to have two loan stints at St Albans City before he broke through into Wealdstone’s senior team last season, which saw him feature in their run to the FA Trophy Final – where they lost to his former loan club, Southend 4-2 on penalties after a 0-0 draw at Wembley Stadium, London.
Woodman represents Kenya at international level and made his senior debut in a 4-0 victory over Lesotho in June 2026.
Bromley have confirmed that Woodman will wear the number 15 shirt this season.
