Relegation-battling West Ham meet Premier League title-chasing Arsenal in a massive London derby affecting opposite ends of the table.
Victory would lift West Ham out of the relegation zone until Monday evening at minimum, whilst Arsenal can restore their five-point lead over Manchester City with a win.

Lukasz Fabianski remains sidelined with a back injury.
Arsenal have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 1-0 second-leg victory at home to Atletico Madrid, which saw them reach the Champions League Final with a 2-1 aggregate semi-final win.

Stat Attack
- West Ham have lost three of their last six league meetings against Arsenal (W2, D1, L3).
- Arsenal are unbeaten in their last six league visits to West Ham (W4, D2).
- Mikel Arteta’s Gunners has scored 11 goals and conceded twice in their last two league trips to West Ham (W2), of which seven goals were scored between Gabriel (2), Leandro Trossard (2) and Bukayo Saka (3).
- West Ham are yet to win a London derby at home this season within the top flight (L5).
- Arsenal are looking to keep three consecutive top-flight clean sheets for the first time since October – November 2025.
Prediction
Having been defensively outclassed at Brentford amidst poor luck in their attacking end product, West Ham now have to realistically win this because if they draw or lose then Tottenham beat Leeds on Monday, you must think that the Hammers will be as good as down.
Although they repeated the dominance of their league win over Fulham a few days later against Atletico Madrid, Arsenal certainly had to be patient and bide their time before clinically getting the victory but this is a chance for them to return to the clinical flair which hammered the Cottagers.
West Ham’s home record against London teams in the top flight this season will only further motivate Arsenal and if they start like they’ve done in their last two matches, I can see an one-sided result coming so it’s imperative that the Hammers score first otherwise they could be in big trouble.
I however do think that Arsenal will be too strong and West Ham will need Leeds to do them a favour, otherwise Nuno Espirito Santo’s Hammers could have survival out of their own hands and in need of serious luck to stay up after their final two games of the season.
Prediction: West Ham 1-3 Arsenal
Result: West Ham 0-1 Arsenal
