Bromley’s Andy Woodman has been crowned League Two Manager of the Season at 2025-26 EFL Awards.
Woodman’s recognition has come after a successful season saw him guide the Ravens to promotion to League One in just their second season as an EFL club, with their move up into the third tier having only been confirmed yesterday after Barnet beat Notts County at Meadow Lane.
The 54-year old manager however was humble about his award as he paid tribute to his team for their graft which led to him being handed the Manager of the Season gong.
“I’m standing up here with this award but I think my team, staff and players should take a lot of credit.
“We set ourselves a goal and I think there were one or two raised eyebrows when we said we’d get promoted, but we have smashed it out the ball park.”
Bromley’s Mitch Pinnock and Omar Sowunmi however missed out on the League Two Player of the Season gong to Swindon Town’s Aaron Drinan, although the trio were all named in the League Two Team of the Season XI alongside fellow nominee – Callum Paterson.
Michael Skubala was crowned League One’s Manager of the Season after he led the Imps back to the second tier after a 65-year absence.
Frank Lampard capped a strong occasion for the managers of the league leaders across the EFL’s three divisions as he picked up Championship’s Manager of the Season, having led Coventry to promotion 48 hours earlier with a 1-1 draw at Blackburn to end their 25-year exile from the Premier League.
Leicester scooped up two awards as Louis Page was crowned Championship’s Apprentice of the Season, whilst Jordan James took home the Championship’s Young Player of the Season gong.
Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney took home the Championship Player of the Season gong after he produced five goals and seven assists in 38 appearances.
Swansea’s Josh Tymon collected the EFL Goal of the Season award for his volley against Oxford United in December 2025.
Burton Albion’s Sulyman Krubally was crowned League One Apprentice of the Season, whilst Leyton Orient’s Dom Ballard took home League One’s Young Player of the Season and Player of the Season gongs after he scored 22 goals in 38 appearances and leads the Golden Boot race.
Ballard was also named in League One’s Team of the Season XI to claim a hat-trick of awards for the young forward.
Bristol Rovers’ Ollie Dewsbury picked up the League Two Apprentice of the Season gong, whilst Walsall loanee, Daniel Kanu received League Two’s Young Player of the Season honour.
Ex MK Dons defender, Dean Lewington was awarded the Sir Tom Finney Award in recognition of his 917 appearances for the Dons, and he told efl.com that he is proud to have been recognised for his career,
“It’s a great honour, it’s amazing how much people can lie to you because my friends and family have over the past few weeks, I had no idea.
“Looking back at who has won it previously and who is actually on the award as well.
“It has to come from dedication. We grow up as kids loving football. The most important thing is that you enjoy your job because we’re very privileged to do what we do. It is the best job in the world, and I thoroughly enjoyed doing it.
“I’m very lucky to have a family, wife and kids who have allowed me to do what I do.”
Middlesbrough’s Wendy Thomas collected the Club Employee Award for her 29-year dedication to developing the club’s academy into its present category one status.
