2025-26 Premier League: Week 33 – Leeds vs Wolves

Leeds look to edge closer towards Premier League safety against rock-bottom Wolves at Elland Road.

Victory will move Leeds nine points clear of the relegation zone, whilst rock-bottom Wolves’ relegation to the Championship will be confirmed if any of the following scenarios plays out;

A win would see Wolves’ inevitable relegation delayed at least a week.

Team News

Leeds have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 2-0 victory at Manchester United.

Dan James (adductor), Joe Rodon and Anton Stach (both ankle) remain absent.

Wolves will be without defender, Yerson Mosquera who is suspended for their next two matches after he received his 10th booking of the campaign in their 4-0 loss at West Ham.

Matt Doherty (knock) though is set to return after he sat out the trip to East London.

Sam Johnstone (shoulder) and Enso Gonzalez Medina (knee) remain ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Leeds host Wolves at Elland Road on Saturday 18 April at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

Having clinically beaten Man Utd in a surprisingly strong front-footed energetic performance, Leeds now need to bring more of that quality into this match because this is a chance to pull nine points clear with five games left, and I wouldn’t be passing up that opportunity if I was a Leeds player.

Wolves meanwhile really needed to win at West Ham to give themselves any hope of a great escape yet they were just outplayed throughout the second half, despite a decent first-half effort until the Hammers found their opening goal, so this is now about preparing for the drop in coming weeks.

Nevertheless Wolves do have a solid away record at Leeds in recent trips but I just think that Daniel Farke’s Whites will have too much quality on current form.

Prediction: Leeds 2-0 Wolves

Result: Leeds 3-0 Wolves
