Roundup of the final day of the 2025-26 Premier League season as the final standings were finalised.

Tottenham stayed up through Joao Palhinha’s 43rd-minute rebound winner in a 1-0 win at home to Everton, after his header hit the post.

West Ham consequently were relegated with a 3-0 victory over Leeds at the London Stadium, despite Valentino Castellanos, Jarrod Bowen and Callum Wilson netting second-half goals.

Burnley avoided finishing rock-bottom at the expense of Wolves as the relegated pair played out a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor, in which Adam Armstrong fired Wolves in front with a fifth-minute penalty before Zian Flemming rescued a point for the Clarets with his 11th goal of the season.

Across in the race for European qualification, Liverpool sealed their Champions League spot in fifth with a 1-1 draw at home to Brentford as Mohamed Salah on his final appearance set up Curtis Jones to net the Reds’ opener before Kevin Schade equalised for the Bees.

Bournemouth consequently had to settle for sixth and Europa League qualification as Marcus Tavernier cancelled out Morgan Gibbs-White’s free-kick in a 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest, in what was the Cherries’ final match under Andoni Iraola.

Trai Hume’s volley and Malo Gusto’s own-goal saw Sunderland snatch the second Europa League spot with a 2-1 home win over Chelsea, as Cole Palmer’s consolatory goal and Wesley Fofana’s red card saw the Blues suffer a league double defeat at the Black Cats’ hands for the first time since 2000-01 season.

Brighton settled for eighth and UEFA Conference League qualification after a 3-0 home loss against Manchester United, in which Bruno Fernandes broke the record for most assists in a single season as he set up Patrick Dorgu’s opener before he settled the tie himself after Bryan Mbeumo netted.

Elsewhere, Arsenal celebrated their title with a 2-1 win at Crystal Palace through goals from Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke either side of half time, whilst Jean-Philippe Mateta got a consolatory finish for the Eagles.

Ollie Watkins’ second-half brace ended a 19-year winless top-flight hoodoo for Aston Villa at Manchester City as Unai Emery’s Villains won 2-1 in City’s final match under Pep Guardiola.

Issa Diop’s header and Tom Cairney’s curled finish saw Fulham beat Newcastle 2-0 at Craven Cottage in a mid-table clash.
