Having seen their eight-match unbeaten run hit a disappointing half at Millwall last Wednesday evening in an uncharacteristically lacklustre performance, Birmingham now need to just regroup and get back to winning ways if want to stay within shot of the last play-off spot.
Middlesbrough meanwhile have stuttered with no wins in three games and a lack of clinical end product has been their biggest issue across this period, so this fixture might of come at an ideal time with their strong form against Birmingham who have just hit a heavy bump at Millwall.
The first goal therefore feels like it will be crucial but I do think that this is going to be a period where Boro might need to grind out their results, so a draw feels like a fair call.
