2025-26 Sky Bet Championship: Week 35 – Saturday

Preston North End meet Millwall in a stand-out Sky Bet Championship clash as both clubs look to keep their promotion bids on track.

Victory would see Preston climb as high as seventh if Southampton and Bristol City both slip up elsewhere, whilst Millwall can move to within one point of second-placed Middlesbrough with a win.

Team News

Preston have no fresh injury concerns to report with only Daniel Iversen sidelined due to a groin injury.

Millwall could be without defender, Caleb Taylor after he missed their 3-0 midweek victory against Birmingham due to a foot injury.

Lukas Jensen (Achilles), Dan Kelly, Will Smallbone (both hamstring), Joe Bryan (toe), Benicio Boaitey-Baker (groin) and Massimo Luongo (knee), remain absent.

When is Kick-Off?

Preston host Millwall at Deepdale on Saturday 28 February at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

With just one win in their last eight matches, Preston really need a huge performance here to get their play-off bid back on track especially after they conceded a late equaliser at Swansea. but this does feel like a must-win if want a decent shot at the play-offs.

Millwall meanwhile have a big opportunity to put psychological pressure on Middlesbrough if can produce another clinical display, having comfortably dispatched Birmingham in midweek with confidence to atone for last weekend’s blip against Portsmouth.

Given what is at stake for both teams and this fixture’s habit of being tight at Deepdale, the key element to the outcome could boil down to who scores first and how the other team responds, so another draw feels like a fair call.

Prediction: Preston 1-1 Millwall

Result: Preston 0-2 Millwall
