Bristol City meet Wrexham in a huge showdown in the race for the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs.
Sat ninth and eighth with two-points and one-point gaps to sixth-placed Derby respectively, victory would see either Bristol City or Wrexham climb to sixth and displace the Rams.
Team News
Bristol City could again be without Jason Knight after he missed their 3-2 Championship win at Hull due to an ankle injury.
Max Bird could return after five months on the sidelines with a calf injury, but Luke McNally (knee) remains ruled out.
Wrexham could welcome Nathan Broadhead back into the starting line-up after he was an unused substitute in their FA Cup win against Ipswich, having missed their last league outing which ended in a 2-0 home loss to Millwall.
Liberato Cacace (hamstring) is unlikely to be fit for selection, whilst Matty James (toe), Zak Vyner (ankle), Danny Ward (elbow) and Jay Rodriguez (ankle) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Bristol City host Wrexham at Ashton Gate on Tuesday 17 February at 7:45pm GMT, live on Sky Sports+ in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Bristol City have lost just one of their last 12 meetings against Wrexham (W9, D2, L1).
- Wrexham are winless in their last nine visits to Bristol City (D1, L8).
- Bristol City have kept clean sheets in four of their last five home matches against Wrexham, during which they won their three recent clashes at Ashton Gate by 1-0 results.
- Gerhard Struber’s Robins have won just one of their three league matches at home in 2026 so far (W1, L2).
- Sam Smith has scored in three of Wrexham’s four away matches in 2026 (W4), having only failed to find the net in a 3-2 victory at QPR in mid-January.
Prediction
Having had a week-and-a-half to prepare for this match come kick-off after their FA Cup tie at Port Vale was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, Bristol City should be right up for this game with the fresh legs after their clinical comeback at Hull as this is a big psychological must-win game.
Wrexham meanwhile clinically knocked Ipswich out of the FA Cup at home with Ipswich having registered no shots on target against them, but they will need to be even better here because this is a high-stake game that could one of a few defining moments in their season come May.
On that note, I really expect a strong competitive clash and it could well be that this ends in a point apiece.
Prediction: Bristol City 1-1 Wrexham
Result: Bristol City 2-2 Wrexham
