Lincoln City have signed defender, Deji Elerewe from Bromley for an undisclosed transfer fee.
Elerewe’s move to Lincoln City comes after an impressive season so far for Bromley in which he has been integral to their robust defence with four goals and four assists in 23 appearances, as the Ravens climbed to the top of League Two.
The 22-year-old however only had six months left on his contract and with an extension unlikely to be agreed, Bromley decided to accept the Imps’ offer for him, with his former club – Charlton also receiving a share of the fee due to their sell-on clause when he joined the Ravens.
Elerewe has signed a three-and-a-half year contract until June 2029, with the Impa having an option to extend for a further year.
Lincoln City’s Sporting Director, Jez George explained that the decision to sign Elerewe came after a period of monitoring and believes that he can add extra “physical attributes” and “outstanding mentality” to the squad.
“Deji has outstanding physical attributes, an outstanding mentality and demonstrates all the behaviours that we value. He is super aggressive in his defending, aerially dominant and defends his box with real desire.
“We are really excited that we’ve convinced him that we are the right club for the next steps in his career as Deji has huge potential and a really high ceiling.”
Elerewe issued a farewell message to Bromley fans through the Ravens’ social media thanking them for a “special” time at the club.
“The time has come for me to move on from Bromley. I want to say a massive thank you to the gaffer [Andy Woodman], the staff, my teammates and of course the supporters.
“You’ve made my time here special and I’ve loved every minute of wearing the shirt.
“I wish the club nothing but the best for the future. I’ve got massive respect for this club and I’ll be following your results every week.
“Hopefully our paths cross again very soon.”

Elerewe began his career at Charlton where he broke into the first team and made his senior debut in a 1-0 loss to AFC Wimbledon in the first round of the 2021-22 Carabao Cup in August 2021, before he went on to make 16 total appearances across three seasons.
The 2022-23 season saw Elerewe initially spend the first half of the season on loan at Wealdstone where he made 14 appearances before injuries at Charlton saw him recalled, but he spent the second half of that season on loan at Bromley where he scored two goals in 12 appearances.
He subsequently returned to Bromley in October 2023 on loan where he managed two goals in nine appearances before he was recalled in December that year, but he returned on a permanent transfer in February 2024 and has since scored five goals in 43 appearances during his latest stint.
