England Women continue their homecoming series against China PR in a friendly at Wembley Stadium.
This clash marks England’s penultimate match of 2025 as they seek to build on their friendly win against Australia last month, whilst China are in action for the first time since July.
Team News
England will be without Khiara Keating after she withdrew from the squad hours prior to the match due to a groin injury, and has been replaced by Ellie Roebuck.
Anna Moorhouse, Sophie Baggaley, Anouk Denton, Grace Fisk and Freya Godfrey meanwhile seek a first senior international cap.
China have a full squad available for selection.
When is Kick-Off?
England host China at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 29 November at 5:30pm GMT, live on ITV1 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- England have won two of their last five meetings against China (W2, D1, L2).
- China lost their only previous away visit to England on English soil by 2-1 result in April 2015.
- England manager – Sarina Wiegman is yet to lose to China in all competitions – having won 8-2 at 2021 Olympics when in charge of Netherlands, then 6-1 with the Lionesses at 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
- China have kept a single clean sheet in their last five matches (W2, D2, L1), which came in a 0-0 draw against Japan in July in EAFF E-1 Championship.
Prediction
Having comfortably dispatched Australia in a confident display where their end product looked sharp on top of their strong attacking intensity which was consistent, England now come into this game knowing that this is a chance to continue building that momentum and experiment more.
China however have adopted a low block with quick attacking breakaways under Ante Milic which will require patience from England to break down, but once they get the first goal I can see the hosts getting a comfortable result.
Prediction: England 3-0 China
Result: England 8-0 China
