2025-26 Premier League: Week 13 – Chelsea vs Arsenal

Chelsea host Arsenal in a massive top of Premier League showdown between the London rivals.

Victory would move second-placed Chelsea to within three points of Arsenal, whilst Mikel Arteta’s Gunners can open a nine-point gap to their hosts with a win.

Team News

Cole Palmer is set to return for Chelsea after a toe injury delayed his return from a groin injury after the international break.

Romeo Lavia (quad), Levi Colwill (ACL), Dario Essugo (thigh) and Mykhailo Mudryk (suspension) are still sidelined.

Arsenal could be without Leandro Trossard after he suffered a knock during their 3-1 Champions League win against Bayern Munich.

Gabriel (adductor), Viktor Gyokeres (muscle), Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus (both knee) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Chelsea host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday 30 November at 4:30pm GMT, live on Sky Sports Main Event and Premier League channels simultaneously in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Chelsea are winless in their last seven league meetings against Arsenal (D2, L5).
  • Arsenal are unbeaten in their last six visits to Chelsea (W3, D3).
  • Chelsea have conceded first in each of their last three meetings against Arsenal.
  • Chelsea have scored six goals in their last three league games without conceding (W3).
  • Trossard has scored in both of Arsenal’s last two league games (W1, D1).

Prediction

Coming into this match with four clean sheets in their last five matches across all competitions, Chelsea should be brimming with confidence especially after a clinical dominant display to batter Barcelona in midweek but they might need to play the patient game like at Burnley though.

Arsenal though are in rampant form and after thrashing Tottenham plus Bayern in the past week, it is hard to see them slipping up here given their recent form at Stamford Bridge but they might need to adopt a patient approach and play Chelsea’s defence at their own game initially.

Either way this does feel like it could be cagey or an all-out attacking thriller which could be overshadowed by Sky’s decision to pit it against F1’s Qatar Grand Prix, but I do think that it will land somewhere in the middle.

Prediction: Chelsea 1-1 Arsenal

Result: Chelsea 1-1 Arsenal
