Manager, Mark Robins has committed his future to Stoke City until June 2029 with a new three-and-a-half year contract.
Robins took charge of the Potters in January 2025 and guided them to 18th position and Championship survival on the final day of last season.
He has since led them to third in the table after 15 matches so far this season and just two points off the second automatic promotion spot, which has led Stoke to tie him down with a new three-and-a-half year contract until June 2029.
Speaking upon confirmation of his new contract, Robins spoke of feeling “hugely proud” to be “fully committed to the long-term process of bringing a successful future to this club.”
Robins added: “Whether it’s the amazing support of our owner, John Coates, the facilities we have and are continuing to invest in, the incredible support we get both home and away, or the squad and group of staff we are developing, everything is here for us to enjoy an exciting and successful future.
“We know it’s going to take time and that there will be tough as well as enjoyable periods along the way, but we are in it for the long haul, enjoying the challenge, and hugely grateful for the backing we have received, from day one, from our fans.”
Robins’ coaching staff; Paul Nevin, James Rowberry, Ryan Shawcross and Darren Behcet have also signed new contracts.
Chairman, John Coates praised Robins for proving to be “the right fit” for the managerial position as he praised him for his work to improve on-field performances, and believes that new contracts for Robins plus his coaching team is a warning to rival clubs.
“It has been clear during his short time with the Club to date that Mark is the right fit as Manager of Stoke City.
“The progress we have made on the field has been extremely encouraging; our players are responding excellently to our coaching team and the way our brilliant supporters have galvanised even further behind the Club during the past year has been a pleasure to see.
“Demonstrating our commitment to Mark, Paul, James, Ryan and Darren, and gaining their loyalty in return, is an important statement of our intent to continue our build towards a successful future.”
Sporting Director and ex Stoke player, Jonathan Walters added: “This season, we’ve started to put strong foundations in place for the future we want for this club and our supporters.
“Mark and his staff have played a major role in our progress, and securing their long-term commitment gives the whole club stability and a clear sense of direction moving forward.
“From the start it was clear that Mark shares the Club’s values and direction. His commitment to Stoke City speaks for itself.”
