Brighton & Hove Albion meet Brentford in a mid-table Premier League clash as both teams look to climb into the top ten.
Locked on 16 points apiece in 11th and 12th positions respectively, victory could lift Brighton or Brentford into the top ten.

Stat Attack
- Brighton have lost one of their last five league meetings against Brentford (W1, D3, L1).
- Brentford are yet to claim a Premier League victory away to Brighton (D2, L2).
- Two of Brighton’s last three meetings against Brentford ended in goalless draws.
- Brighton are yet to lose at home in the Premier League this season (W3, D2).
- Brentford have won just one of their five away games in the top-flight this season (W1, L4).
Prediction
Having battled their way to a goalless draw at Crystal Palace in which they were pretty lacklustre with not much wow quality in their end product, Brighton now need to bring that top quality because this is a chance to get a win that puts them firmly in the fight for an European spot.
Brentford though don’t seem to have found consistency under Keith Andrews in the league yet this season, although they’ve won three of their last four top-flight games which was evident in their spirited comeback against Newcastle where they wanted the result more with an energetic attacking effort.
I however do expect this to be a tough game for the Bees given Brighton’s home form but if they bring the same attitude which saw off Newcastle, I can see them grinding out a solid draw.
Prediction: Brighton 1-1 Brentford
Result: Brighton 2-1 Brentford
