2025-26 Premier League: Week 12 – Bournemouth vs West Ham

Bournemouth look to return to winning ways in a Premier League clash against West Ham.

Victory could put Andoni Iraola’s Cherries as high as third depending on results elsewhere, whilst West Ham could climb out of the relegation zone with a win or draw depending on Burnley’s result in the lunchtime kick-off.

Team News

Antoine Semenyo is a doubt for Bournemouth due to an ankle sprain suffered on international duty for Ghana.

Tyler Adams and Adam Smith could face late fitness checks after observing concussion protocols due to a clash in their 4-0 loss at Aston Villa two weeks ago.

Ben Gannon-Doak is ruled out after he suffered a hamstring injury in Scotland’s victorious 4-2 thriller against Denmark.

Justin Kluivert will too miss the game after he returned early from international duty with the Netherlands, due to an adductor injury.

Matai Akinmboni remains absent with a muscle injury.

West Ham will be without Lucas Paqueta due to suspension, after he collected his fifth yellow card of the season in their 3-2 victory at home to Burnley before the international break.

Lukasz Fabianski (back), Niclas Fullkrug (calf), Konstantinos Mavropanos (hamstring) and Freddie Potts (knock) face late fitness checks.

Oliver Scarles (shoulder) remains ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Bournemouth host West Ham at Vitality Stadium on Saturday 22 November at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Bournemouth are winless in their last eight league meetings against West Ham (D5, L3).
  • West Ham have lost just two of their last eight visits to Bournemouth (W2, D4, L2).
  • Each of Bournemouth’s last four league games against West Ham have ended in draws (D4), of which three of those four draws ended in a 1-1 result except for a 2-2 away draw in April 2025.
  • Bournemouth are looking to avoid losing three consecutive league games for the first time since May 2024, which saw them lose their last three games of the 2023-24 season.
  • Tomas Soucek has scored in West Ham’s last two matches (W2).

Prediction

Without a win in two games following a wasteful performance at Villa where they just lacked their usual final touches amidst some awful defensive play, Bournemouth just need to reset as this is the ideal winnable game to start moving back up the table towards the European qualification spots.

West Ham though have found form in their last two matches with victories albeit at home so they now need to find a way to convert that newly-rediscovered confidence and flair into their away performance if want a second win on the road this season.

Paqueta though is a huge creative loss for the Hammers but given Bournemouth’s injury issues up front, they should nick a draw unless Evanilson and Enes Unal can step up.

Prediction: Bournemouth 1-1 West Ham

Result: Bournemouth 2-2 West Ham
