Guide to the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix as F1 begins its triple-header season finale.
McLaren’s Lando Norris enters the triple-headed season finale with a 24-point advantage over his teammate, Oscar Piastri, whilst Red Bull’s Max Verstappen is the third driver still in title contention albeit with a 49-point deficit.
Norris therefore can set up a straight title showdown between him and Piastri if he outscores Verstappen by nine points on the streets of Las Vegas.
Mercedes meanwhile head Red Bull and Ferrari in their battle for the Constructors’ Vice-Champion honour, as just 36 points split the trio coming into this round.

- Maximising track time will be key to unlocking performance and understanding the tyre degradation around this circuit, especially after a chaotic Friday Practice last year.
- With track temperatures forecast to be cold, drivers will face a tricky test of their tyre warm-up skills to extract maximum lap time and get tyres up to temperature quickly.
- Brakes could also face the brunt of the cold weather forecast with not many braking zones for drivers to generate tyre temperature, which could lead to several lock-ups across the weekend.
- McLaren will be looking for a more competitive visit to Las Vegas after they struggled to deal with the tyres, aerodynamics and low grip conditions here in 2024.
- Having been competitive in the first two F1 races in Las Vegas, Ferrari will look to produce a competitive weekend in conditions which should suit their and Mercedes’ cars more than usual.

Mercedes’ George Russell dominated F1’s trip to Sin City in 2024 from pole except for lap 13 when he conceded the lead to then teammate, Lewis Hamilton, who eventually finished second from tenth on the grid ahead of Carlos Sainz.
Verstappen meanwhile finished fifth to clinch his fourth title as Norris could only finish sixth behind the Dutchman.
