All ten F1 teams successfully met the 2024 budget cap following a FIA review.
McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes, Red Bull, Alpine, Racing Bulls, Haas, Sauber and Williams successfully met all aspects of the “time consuming” budget cap review completed by the FIA over the last seven months.
Aston Martin however were found to had committed a procedural breach unrelated specifically to the budget cap, having submitted their 2024 accounts shortly after the 31 March deadline, which the FIA and Cost Cap Administration (CCA) adjudged to be “of a very minor nature”.
FIA and CCA officials clarified further that the breach was caused “by unpredictable circumstances outside the control of the F1 Team.”
Aston Martin and the FIA have together voluntarily entered a joint Accepted Breach Agreement discussion to sort out the breach and subsequent punishment.
FIA also confirmed that the five power unit manufacturers complied with the budget cap.
